Edgar Granados' Free Clown Workshop - STAB! Comedy Theater - Sacramento

Come discover your freedom on stage by getting out of your head, into your body and discovering the joy of being a total idiot. Too often we enter the stage like gladiators ready for combat. We steamroll the audience with a previous idea or we squander our potential by hiding in plain sight. If we allow them, the audience will tell us exactly what to do and exactly where to find our direction as actors.Through a series of playful games, improvisations and exercises we will seek to discover the possibilities that arise when we slow down, engage with the moment and listen to the audience. We will highlight the importance of imagination and playfulness, students will be encouraged to take risks and be impulsive!Be. Prepared. To. Look. Hella. Dumb. That’s the point. We’re getting out of our own way and not taking ourselves too seriously. This class is for total newbies or experienced professionals. And best of all, it's all absolutely free.Note: Wear something comfortable to move in like sweats/leggings and t-shirt/long-sleeves with no logos.About the instructor Edgar Granados:Hot off his graduation from the prestigious Ecole Philippe Gaulier where he studied directly under the master clown whom Sacha Baron Cohen credits with his career, Philippe Gaulier, he bounded into the underground Fringe scene where his debut ensemble show “Quantum Goat Theater” defied all expectations at the Edinburgh Fringe.Edgar Granados is an internationally touring performer who was regularly featured at the Cafe Paname des Arts in Paris, France and the illustrious raunchy Stamptown Comedy Night in London, England.Locally he has appeared on ABC's News10, Good Day Sacramento and was featured in Submerge Magazine for his late-night talk show, “The Calm Eddy Show”.
