First Thursday: "Haile(y)'s Sideways Piece?" - DATE TBD - p:ear gallery - Portland

"Haile(y)'s Sideways Piece?" - an art show by Daniel Haile and p:ear youth The p:ear Gallery is thrilled to present Daniel Haile’s "Haile(y)'s Sideways Piece?", a beautiful collection of work by one of Portland’s brightest up and coming artists and p:ear youth. Daniel Haile grew up in Southern California. Often left alone, he became entranced by Saturday morning cartoons, comic books and creating his elaborate drawings. Being a member of the deaf community, Haile's subject matter often revolves around themes of discrimination, disability and diversity. He works both traditionally and digitally often focusing on portraiture where he captures static moments of everyday life. As a veteran of the film, animation, gaming, entertainment and advertising industries Daniel brings bold colors and engaging subject matters to his work.
