The Barn Raiser - The Wayfaring Band - Denver

5Inspired by the notion that it takes a whole town to build a barn, our annual Barn Raiser is a dance and fundraiser that harnesses the power of our entire community to fuel our efforts for the coming year. Dress in your western best, bring the whole family, and join the band for a rowdy good time supporting a great cause. The Plymouth Congregational Church is located on the southwest corner of Hampden and South Colorado Blvd, and plenty of parking is available onsite. Our event will be held in Plymouth Hall on the first floor near the north side of the building. The event is fully wheelchair-accessible... no stairs, no elevators. Enjoy tangy barbecue from our friends at Brothers BBQ, sudsy beer from Baere Brewing and friends, and the honky-tonk stylings of local band, Rocky Mountain Bluegrass. Tempt fate when you purchase a mystery prize from our Mystery Mercantile, or purchase some of our unmistakable merch, including hoodies, t-shirts, trucker hats, patches, car decals, bracelets with custom-made "Everybody In" charms, and banner pens. With dancing, shopping, eating, and drinking, there's an option for everyone.Tickets are available in advance online, or at the door. All ticket sales benefit The Wayfaring Band. ** This event is family-friendly, wheelchair-accessible, and ASL-interpreted. **DATE: Saturday, November 9, 2019TIME: 5:30-9PMCOST: $20 per person at the door. Colorado Blvd, Cherry Hills Village, CO.HOSTED BY: The Wayfaring Band is not a rock-and-roll band, but a band of travelers. We specialize in leadership and life skills through travel for adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities. We also offer a social leadership program for adults without disabilities who are interested in inclusion and diversity. Over the course of a week on the road with the band, we focus on enhancing the social skills of all our participants while developing practical skills for navigating difference. Our mission is to foster inclusion, interdependence, and genuine connection between diverse communities by crafting original, transformative adventures for a neurodiverse band of travelers. Our dream is to model our vision of inclusivity everywhere we travel, fundamentally altering the way people experience difference. #EverybodyIn! .
