HISTORIC MEETING OF MUSICAL VISIONARIES FROM THE MIDDLE EAST & THE AMERICAS, BLENDING JEWISH PRAYER, DEEP ARABIC HARMONIES & THE SPIRIT OF AFRO FUNK & GOSPEL VOICES.International group Yemen Blues, which has ignited audiences with their revolutionary sound, is announcing the debut tour of a new rapturous live experience featuring bassist/producer Shanir Blumenkranz (John Zorn, Yo Yo Ma), acclaimed drummer Nikki Glaspie (Beyonce, Jay-Z, George Michael) and the Harlem First Corinthian Baptist Church Choir under the direction of Charles Anthony (on Oct 29, 2019 in New York). Hallel (Hebrew: הלל" , Praise") is a Jewish Prayer, a verbatim recitation from Psalms 113–118, which observant Jews speak on holy days as an act of praise and thanksgiving.The new compositions presented in this project are derived from Kahalani’s thoughtful reading into the profound spiritual meaning of the holy text from Tehillim (Psalms).Dive with Hallel into the deepest secrets that well up through those words of praise, which tell the story of each of us as human beings before the maker and as individuals in this world."The Great Hallel" World Premiere Tour will kick off on Oct 29, 2019 at Symphony Space in Manhattan, New York, together with a nine-piece band of extraordinary musicians.
