Complimentary sparkling wine and light bites included.The Dreamers Project by alumna artist Rosalia Torres-WeinerAlumni Artist Lounge, second floorMcColl Center alumna artist Rosalia Torres-Weiner (2014) created a series of paintings based on the stories and lives of six Dreamers (young undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children) and an augmented reality app called “Red CalacAR” that allows you to hear the stories behind the paintings in the young people’s own voices. This project was exhibited at the Leyland Gallery at Georgia College last year in an effort to raise awareness about Dreamers. Torres-Weiner and some of the Dreamers will share more with you about this project during The Outcome.How to get here and where to park We’re located at 721 N. Tryon St. in Uptown Charlotte.
