About the Event: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including a heart attack or near drowning, in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. Knowing the importance of CPR and warning signs can be helpful in saving a life. You can never be too young or too old to make a difference. Participants will receive hands-on training using a mannequin and a 2-year Certification from the National Safety Council. Get the knowledge you need and become an important link to CPR & First Aid in your household or your community.Fee includes class manual, DVD, reference guide, and certification card. Participants will also receive a $10 credit toward any additional purchase.About the Instructor: Valerie Hall-Bulter is a retired LPN nurse and retired Paramedic Firefighter of Baltimore City with over 20 years of service. She has been a CPR/AED & First Aid instructor since 1989 originally under the American Heart Association and the last 10 years under the National Safety Council Chesapeake Region. Valerie teaches girl scout and boy scout troops, coaches, church hospitality and usher groups, day care center staff, students in trade schools and various members of all community groups.
